January 2006

Greetings Lambs,

Are You a New Year's Sheep or  Goat – Read my thoughts in an article I wrote in 2002 (a reminder to myself too) http://www.samslambs.org/scroll/asheeporgoat.htm
Pick up your Christmas Gift
- If you were not one of the 25 people at our Christmas sharing dinner, you can still pick up one of your free gifts, from our home page – a free 2 night 3 day getaway vacation for two. Only people in attendance received a free Christmas coffee mug. Father Lance adroitly delivered our Risso Therapy as only he can do. If you’re curious about what ‘The Jewish Samurai’ is about read it here http://www.samslambs.org  (Click on Churchy Humour (Risso Therapy) in the left column)

Weekly meetings changed to Sunday afternoons – 4 sessions with Dr. Wayne Dyer -
author of ‘The Power of Intention’ . Because of ye olde ‘lake effect’, we will meet on Sun afternoons so we can see to drive. Meetings will be in members’ homes, with the first on Jan 8th at Betty Van Volkenburg’s. Call 872-2253 to be included.. View compete details

WINTER  SESSION  EVENTS  (January - March,  more to be added)
Coming in February
– ‘The Night of the Heart’, a fund-raiser for Good Shepherd. This is a musical night of fun, and fellowship. Date and details will be announced on our site.

Coming in MarchA Broadway Revue’ another musical night, on Saturday, March 4th at the Auditorium theatre. We will be helping Single Volunteers of America with ticket sales, and we will receive part of the proceeds. There are evening and matinee performances but we will focus on having a group at the Sat matinee (tickets - $16 each) with a reception after the matinee. Details will be announced on the site as soon as they are finalized.

Volunteers Needed –   It's a New Year and we need new volunteers to replace volunteers from last year, to help out with Social planning, Membership services – refreshments, phone tree, or Facilitator – opening and leading meetings. Sign up at meetings or leave your name and phone # on our voice mail. We’re especially looking for people under 40 as we don’t have a leader for that age group. We’ll do a planning meeting in January, and hope to add a variety of interest clubs and Single parent activities. These are the suggestions we have so far but we need coordinators to make firm plans -  Sports club, Books, Music, & Trips.

Remember His Command -
'Love One Another, As I Have Loved You' and spread it around.
