Greetings Lambs,

What You Missed:

Our Tuesday night groups were combined into one group - Living Single, for all singles of any age or marital status. We are using audio tapes on 'Building Healthy Adult Relationships' by Earnie Larson, a well known author and counselor. The tapes have sparked some very good discussions and gave us good information for making the most of our singlehood. We should be finished with them by the end of November and we will move on to our Spirituality discussions for advent in December, using 'Everyday Spirituality' videos.

We're currently working on a Singles Bible Study group so watch for details soon. We're going to use 'Bible for Dummies' which is used in our Good Shepherd Adult Education, but we will augment with discussions on faith and Bible aspects of special concern to singles. We will be covering, and doing our best to answer, questions from singles so be sure to submit yours, at meetings or online at our site, like - Where in the Bible does it say we have to be married to have sex? or, what does the Bible say about marriage - A Civil Contract, or a Divine Covenant? or, should only wives submit .to their spouses, or does the Bible teach Mutual Submission? or whatever has been a concern for you, whether it's from the Bible or a church/religion tradition.

Nov 1 - All Saints Day - We have no meeting on Tues Oct 31st as most of us will be home handing out treats (to avoid tricks?) but on Wednesday Nov 1 we will be tripping to Hobart & Smith college for
MUSIC, MEDITATION & MUNCHIES - 12:15-12:45pm, Wednesday, November 1, St. John's Chapel, Hobart William Smith College, 300 Pulteney Street, Geneva. Call our Voice Mail to reserve - meet in Good Shepherd parking lot to carpool..

Friday Nights Dining/Dancing Out - different locations for Friday night dining out are chosen each week in our Tuesday night group, so check our site or Voice Mail for the location, and to reserve and get directions.

Nov 4 - 7 pm - Euchre at Good Shepherd Parish Hall, Webster.

Nov 12 - 2:30 pm- Wine Tour in Canandaigua, followed by dinner at Steamboat Landing. Gather in parking lot of Good Shepherd to carpool and leave at 2:30 pm.

Nov 18 -
     5:30 pm - Eucharist service - Join Good Shepherd congregation for evening service.
     6:30 pm - Singles Feast - Parish Hall - Bring a dish-to-pass, $2 for members, $3 for non-members.    If attending 5:30 pm service, and your dish needs to be kept warm, bring to Parish Hall prior to service to put in oven to keep warm. Please reserve on our Voice Mail.

Nov 19 - Singles Sunday at Good Shepherd -
     9:00 AM - 'The Spirituality of Singularity' address by Father Lance Robbins.
    10:15 AM - Sunday Eucharist service, followed by coffee hour hosted by SAM's Lambs. Information on our Singles Ministry will be availabl on a display table and members will be available to answer questions.

Nov 23 - Thanksgiving Dinner - Any single who will be alone for this holiday is invited to leave their contact information at a meeting or on our Voice Mail to receive an invitation to dinner hosted by a SAM's Lamb.
