What You Missed:

Tuesday Groups: Fall discussion groups began Tuesday Sept 18, and it's going to be very interesting, defining our dreams and goals with Barbara Sher's help. She's a very inspiring speaker and prompted some lively discussion after her tapes finished. The 1st week she gave us an overview of her program and the 2nd week we actually start working on defining - What do I really Want?, What really makes me happy? With help and support from our Dream Team members to reach our goals, who knows what we will have accomplished in the next 3 months. You'll see our results on our site in the future, but better yet, join us and work on your own dreams too.
In addition to working on our Live Your Dream goals, in future Tuesday night discussions we will be using a variety of resource, like videos or DVDs from various authors so we have a variety of interesting topics.

Social Events: We dined out Fri night Sept 21 at Carey Lake restaurant in Macedon. Carey Lake is not just a restaurant, it also has a fabulous banquet room and is a great place to have special occasion celebrations. The decor inside is very lush, but outside there is a beautiful garden and a Gazebo overlooking the lake. They have a honky tonk piano player there too so we had some fun music too and the owner Bruce Carey even serenaded us with some songs. You can expect that we'll be visiting back there again.

Special Interest Groups: We're working on our new Music, Book, and Sports groups. Our single sports will get together on Sun afternoons to watch the Bills, and also attend an occasional Amerks hockey game too.

Bible Study resumes Oct 13 at 11:00 am. Our first meeting will be a discussion of possible materials we can use, like books, DVDs, etc. We will continue with Bible For Dummies but we can add other materials too.  
Good Shepherd is starting a healing ministry and we will also be attending the information meetings on Sat Oct 20 and Sat Oct 27, at 10:00 am.  We have SAM's Lambs members who will be attending, but the Ministry is open to anyone interested in using our faith to heal.

Singles Sunday Oct 21 9:00 am: Please join us for Singles Sunday at Good Shepherd as Father Lance Robbins makes a presentation on The Spirituality of Singularity, in our church library.

Friday Oct 5: - Singles dance at the Green Lantern Inn in Fairport. Meet there anytime after 9 pm or call our VM # if you would like to carpool, or sign up in Tues groups.
Saturday Oct 6 7 pm: Euchre with Good Shepherd players in our Parish Hall
Sat Oct 20 6:30 pm - Dish-to-pass sharing dinner in our Parish Hall, with games and Music. If our Music group has revived their skills they may provide music and lead a sing-along, otherwise we will have CDs.
Friday Oct 26 6:30 pm - Dining Out - Location to be decided so check our VM# or sign up in Tues groups.

Other Ad hoc social events may be added, from our Tuesday night meetings so check our calendar periodically, or call our voice mail info line above.
