February 2008 UPDATE What You Missed: We do not do weekly Tues night discussions in Jan & Feb, but we still stay in touch at social events. We had a great time at Flaherty’s on Jan 5th and heard Marty Roberts play and sing and then extended the evening at Michael’s in Penfield where we heard some really good jazz singers, and chatted up a storm until midnight. Healing Ministry – Sat Feb 9 & Sat Feb 23 at 10:00 am. Bible Study – We continue with Bible Study on the 2nd and 4th Sat mornings. We will use a series of DVDs for spiritual growth on alternating Saturdays. Lunch at a local restaurant follows our Bible Study. Sat Feb 9 11:00 am – Bible Study using Bible For Dummies Sat Feb 23 11:00 am – Discussion following DVD – Discovering Everyday Spirituality Special Lenten Program - Got Questions? - We’ve got AnswersDates: 5 Thursdays - Feb 14, 6 pm - Mar 13, 6 pm Sharing dinner, videos & discussions. Please reserve early. Open to everyone – get answers in a warm, friendly environment. Good Shepherd Episcopal church is offering a series of five Christian education courses called Via Media, led by Father Lance Robbins. Our objective is to create an open and inclusive environment that appeals to anyone wondering about Christianity or the Episcopal Church. We encourage you to bring your ideas and questions, and we'll provide the informational resources - video, or written materials, and a place to exchange your thoughts and voice your opinions. Look for us at our special table for SAM’s Lambs. Sat Feb 9 7-9 pm - Good Shepherd Night of the Heart - Sat Feb 16 – Singles Valentine Sharing Dinner - share a meal, fun, friendship – you don’t have to have a partner to find love. Admission - $3 and a dish-to-pass. Entertainment by Country Nights disk jockey with a local dance instructor to teach us Line Dancing – where you can dance with your new friends, without a partner.
