March 2008 UPDATE

What's New:
On Sunday March 2nd at 2 pm we will host an Open House in our Parish Hall for newcomers to meet with us and sign up for our discussion groups, Bible Study or social events. We are changing our discussion group gatherings to Sunday afternoons, to happen on the 1st & 3rd Sundays, instead of every week. Our new group is called Risso Therapy (Healing Through Humor) which denotes our upbeat theme for these discussions. We begin our regular discussions on Sun March 16th at 2 pm in our church library which will continue 2/month through Spring. As summer approaches we will decide if we will move our gatherings to a park, or member's homes.

Healing Ministry - Sat Mar 8 & Sat Mar 22 at 10:00 am. Several of our SAM's Lambs participate in Good Shepherd's new Healing Ministry teachings and you are welcome to join us.

Bible Study - We continue with Bible Study on the 2nd and 4th Sat mornings
at a new time - 11:30 am. Lunch at a local restaurant follows our Bible Study.
Sat Mar 8 and Mar 22 11:30 am - Bible Study using Bible For Dummies

March Calendar:
To carpool to any event, sign up in meetings or call our VM above.

Sat March 1 7:00 pm - Good Shepherd Euchre night is the 1st Sat in the Parish Hall.
If you'd like to learn to play Euchre, sign up in meetings, or through our VM. We'll include you in our "practice sessions".

Sun Mar 2, 2 pm - Open House for all singles - Get info on our groups,
Bible Study and social events.

Fri Mar 7, 9 pm - Meet at the Green Lantern Inn in Fairport for an open singles dance.

Sat Mar 8, 11:30 am - Bible Study group meets - church library, followed by lunch
at local restaurant.

Fri Mar 14  - (time and location to be determined)
Dining out and/or Movie night - sign up in groups or through our VM above.

Sun Mar 16, 2 pm - Risso Therapy group meets - church library - bring a joke or humorous story to share before we start our weekly topic discussion.

Mon Mar 17 - 6 pm - St. Patrick's celebration at local restaurant, sign up in
meetings or through our VM.

Fri Mar 21 - Good Friday services.

Sat Mar 22, 11:30 am - Bible Study group meets - church library, followed by
lunch at local restaurant.

Sun Mar 23 - Easter Sunday services

Fri Mar 28, 7:30 pm - Dancing - Fireman's hall across from Seabreeze Amusement Park.
