THE SCROLL March 2009 Update on Spring events We resume our regular program of events on Tues Mar 3. All unmarried people are invited – never married, divorced, or widows/widower, of all ages or religious faiths. Spirituality/Bible Study – Our March Bible Study is on the 2nd & 4th Sun afternoons at 1 pm in our church library and led by Father Lance Robbins. If we have at least 6 people interested in attending we will continue with the present program, otherwise, we will cover future spirituality topics in our Tuesday night chat nights. MARCH EVENTS: Tues night chats, 7 pm – We resume weekly Tues night chats on Mar 3, and open with Risso Therapy – "Healing Through Humour", followed by introductions and and each person may or may not update on what is happening in their life. Topics vary weekly, and cover relationships, spirituality, or group suggestions. Use the East entrance, for the church library. A goodwill donation is accepted at the door. Thurs during Lent, 6 pm, starting March 5 – Good Shepherd hosts a Pot Luck supper, Lenten presentation, and very warm fellowship. Bring a dish-to-pass (from home or "Danny’s") View list of topics - http://www.goodshepherdepiscopal.org Sat, March 7, 7 pm – Euchre night in our Parish Hall. This monthly Good Shepherd event is open to all of our congregation and Sam’s Lambs too. Reserve in advance on our voice mail above, at a meeting or by email. Sun March 8 – Book Club meeting at a member’s home – if interested please leave name and phone # at our voice mail above or send email to receive details and directions. This first meeting will be to pick the Books that will be read March through August, and where our book club gatherings will be held. Sat March 14, 7 pm – SPRING OPEN HOUSE – in our Parish Hall. Open to all singles – goodwill donation at the door. Receive information on coming events and enjoy fun, food & fellowship. We will have music and possibly line dance instruction too. Sun March 22 – Sharing dinner in a member’s home (or Parish Hall depending on number attending). Bring a dish-to-pass or snack, and a joke or 2. Call our voice mail above, or email to reserve and get details. Sat March 28, 6 pm – Dining out at Beale Street Cafe on Empire Blvd. In Webster. Please reserve in advance so we know how many to include in the reservation at the restaurant. At dinner we will choose our next location, date & time.
